NC Jill – Getting it Done!

by Remodeling Guy on February 26, 2009

Hey Crew!

Check out the pictures that popped up in my inbox yesterday! One of the regulars here at Remodeling Guy, NC Jill, gave her powder room a makeover and here are the before and afters.

Jill and her husband did a great job! She took advantage of some great ways to do a quick remodel (they did this over a weekend!):

  • Paint – cabinet and walls
  • New Fixtures – Faucet and Lighting
  • Spa-it-up (is that phrase trade marked by The Nester?)
  • Added art to the walls and some great personal touches!

The outcome is fabulous and shows that a few simple changes can make a huge difference!

Take a look at a post I wrote about bathroom quickies here.

Jill doesn’t spend ALL her blog browsing time here at Remodeling Guy… no way! She gets inspiration from other great blogs too. The inspiration for this work also came from these great blogs:

I just looked at all of these blogs and they have some great stuff up today! You should take a look!

Great job Jill and I’m sure your husband is to be commended for a good bit of hard work and giving up some weekend time!

On The Road

I’m heading out of town for a few days, so I’ll do my best to stay on top of things around here, but no guarantees! (spoken like a true contractor)  Check back for the winner of the cabinet door contest and if I see any cool stuff while I’m riding, I’ll give you some pictures!

Best to all of you!

Very nice change. It looks like she did a treatment on the mirror that I saw on another site. What adhesive is best to glue wood onto a mirror?

Jill and hubby would do well at home staging! Think about it, if you were shopping for a house, which bathroom would you remember? ;)

Hey NC jill! It looks so great! I’m guessing it didn’t cost all that much and was worth every penny!

Thank you so much for posting your before and after pictures- I couldn’t believe the difference. You completely inspired me, even at 9 months pregnant to redo our bathroom. I can’t believe the difference and how easy it was to make such a dramatic change to our house without spending a ton of money. I have started to fall back in love with my house again and it is the best feeling. Thanks again for the inspiration!

Love the bathroom. Did you use the Ralph Lauren Turret Stair color on your vanity? What kind of primer did you use? What color did you use on your walls? I can what to try this in my bathroom – it’s gorgeous!
