Hi Tim,

Sorry to bother you but I was reading your note in the October Familyhandyman on the Delta Addison raincan shower head and was intrigued by it. However I cannot find anything close to the $87 price range on the Delta site?

Anything even remotely close was around $150 and up just for the showerhead - and way up over $200 if you include the faucet?

I'd like to get one if the price was around that $87 figure you suggested which looks good compared to what I've found so far. On liine, I found just the shower head at Home depot for around $75 and Lowes might have the chrome version for just over a $100, but haven't found the stainless or nickel there yet.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Hi, I just found your blog and it couldn't have come at a better time. We just purchased a house built in the '40's and that hasn't been touched since probably the 70's. So we're doing a whole house update. We're looking at moving the kitchen into the existing dining room space and knocking down an existing kitchen, laundry, utility room to combine it into one open family room and dining room connected to the kitchen. One of the first problems we've encountered in this plan is that the existing dining room (which is connected to the living room) has oak floors. The rest of the space has linoleum (and no wood underneath). To make the new space cohesive, we want to make everything one flooring. But should we tear up all the existing oak flooring or try to feather in new oak flooring? We'd prefer to reuse existing for cost savings. Problem with feathering is that everything is one level right now but if we add oak floors to the linoleum portions, it would raise that section. If we replace all the flooring, what flooring should we choose? Remember that the flooring will be used in the kitchen as well. So can we use pre-engineered wood floors or must we use finish-in-place hardwood?

Any suggestions you might have would be great!

I saw a great wood table with a booth on your web site. Did you make it or can you tell me where it can be purchased? Thank you.
