Remodeling Guy Has Left The Building…

Hello friends.  I’m sorry to tell you that I’ve decided to discontinue my work as Remodeling Guy.

Those of you who read me often, know that my full explanations can be quite wordy, and I don’t want to put you through that!

Suffice it to say that life in general requires priorities and priorities require decisions be made.  In the scheme of things, as much as I enjoyed being helpful or inspiring to those of you who just needed a little extra push or word of affirmation, the time requirement of the blog was significant and was taking me away from the roles that are most important to me.

The answers many of you gave in a recent survey I posted showed one thing clearly.  You just need a little encouragement.  You need to believe that you can do it!  Believe me, you can.  Remodeling isn’t something to be afraid of.  Just do it.

If I can offer one major key that will help you with the future of your home, it is this… you need a big dream and it needs to be clear.  The best advice I can offer you is to build a collection of pictures of the house you dream of.  Get them from magazines, blogs, websites, or just driving down the road… it doesn’t matter how you get them, just get them and keep them.  Look at them all the time.  Pay close attention to the details… the colors, the moldings, the flooring…even down to seeing what kind of joints are in the floor, or what kind of texture is on the wall.  Learn what lights your fire!

Then just keep on thinking about that.  Eventually, one way or another, I believe you’ll make it happen.
